We all know at least one song of Slim Dusty and this Centre gave us a great insight into Slim and his wife's achievements. Very well set out. The collection of memorabilia is fantastic.
We really enjoyed the "This is your Life" show. What an amazing story.
It was very interesting to read the timeline about his life along the walls and seeing all the costumes and memorabilia.
What was also excellent is that we learnt of the history of several less known Australian artists and entertainers who travelled the country for so many decades performing in country shows and local venues.
His famous car and caravan were on display, and we visited a small theatre running video presentations.
We ended our visit with lunch in their small cafe.
Thank you Trudy, Jenny, Georgia, Yolanda for your hospitality!
We all had a wonderful time.
We visited the beautiful Coffs Harbour Botanic Gardens on the last day of Winter, it was a glorious morning! Spring was in the air. We wandered along the paths, seeing a large variety of flowers, plants and different zones including the Japanese, Rose and Herb gardens.
Thank you Pam for the lovely morning tea and Helen and Louise for your company, informative comments and guided tour on your special people movers!
Had a wonderful morning at whale watching. The Jetty Dive crew and boat were fantastic keeping us entertained with their commentary and we saw many whales.
We visited this one hundred year old cottage, which was relocated from Grafton and placed at picturesque Waterview Heights, only a short drive from South Grafton.
The cottage has been lovingly restored and transformed into a delightful museum with a great collection of memorabilia. It is owned, curated and hosted by local couple Michael and Lindy.
We strolled around the gardens and walkways, fed the friendly goats and did a lot of reminiscing.
A retro room full of crazy items and fashions from the 60's and 70's kept us amused.
Enjoyed a lovely light lunch - thank you Judy and Mike, everyone had a great experience.
